Dear Friends,

As you know, 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami in Northeast Japan
damaged cooling system of nuclear power plants in Fukushima
prefecture.

Workers, engineers, policemen, firefighters, military personnels are
battling to control the situation right now in Fukushima.

If the temperature inside the reactor vessel continues to rise to
2,200 Celsius, then the uranium fuel pellets would start to melt. More
dangerous radioactivity would be leaked into the air.

The worst case scenario is a full-scale meltdown, nuclear chain
reaction and explosion which would claim lives of those living in
Tokyo.

Tis is not science fiction, it is real.
It is painful and scary to get to know the truth, and face the
possibility of the worst.
But we cannot let our fear overwhelm us and prevent us from our clear thinking.

Please pray for them in Fukushima.

If you have religion, please include them in your prayer.
If you meditate, please dedicate your practice to them.
If you are human living on the planet earth, simply give your moment
and though to them, please.

It may sounds peculiar, but I believe in the power of corrective
awareness of human beings.
I would like to ask you to join me and friends to pray for them.
Spread the words.

We will never give up.
There would be a long journey to recover from the devastations, yet we
will stand and would arise again.

I hope that fifty years from now, we will look back and would remember
March 11th 2011 as the turning point where humans stopped use of
nuclear power entirely.

Thank you for being connected with us.

Sincerely yours,

Yuka Honda Yasuhara March 18th, 2011
